May 31, 2013, the widest tornado in recorded history tore through El Reno and surrounding areas. Our partners at Youth and Family Services took a severe hit. The buildings suffered major damage including roof damage, flooding, power outages, and destruction to the children’s shelter playground and fence. Due to privacy laws and safety issues, the children at the shelter were unable to play outside while the fence was down.
Fostering Foundations took on this project to surround the children with a new and safe place to play. After three long work days including 420 feet of fence and 58 posts, the fence is complete, and the children are able to play outside once again!
