Fostering Foundations is a non-profit organization based out of Oklahoma City.

The mission of Fostering Foundations is to provide the support needed to assist a loving and willing family to provide care for children who have been abused, neglected or mistreated.

Our dream is that every child has a loving home.

Beginning January 1, 2013 we will have a crisis in Oklahoma.  Immediately, hundreds of babies under two years of age, in an emergency situation, will have no place to go. (Reference: DHS Pinnacle Plan) Right now, emergency children’s shelters are there to take them in when they need it most. After the first of the year, this resource will no longer be available to care for infants. The babies in shelters will have to be moved, and new babies that should be taken out of dangerous situations will be at risk of having no safe place to go and left in unsafe care.

Fostering Foundations has made this crisis a top priority. We partner with advocate groups for foster families throughout OKC and surrounding areas and our first partner is Youth and Family Services. We provide services, labor, and volunteers to help get homes ready to foster children. We get families who are going through the fostering application process who have a hold up during their home inspection. These families have issues with their homes that they can’t afford to fix or do not have time to fix. Fostering Foundations steps in to fix these issues and get their home ready to foster children in need.
